Business Insider has learned that one of the biggest companies in the barbecue catering industry, BBQ Pizza, is being investigated by the FTC for a potentially illegal sale of fake meat and a fake recipe for a chicken breast recipe.

According to a report by The Daily Beast, the Food and Drug Administration is investigating a possible breach of the Food Safety Modernization Act by BBQ Pizza over a batch of chicken breasts that were being sold on the company’s website.

According a statement from the FTC, the agency has launched an investigation into the sale of false meat products and a potential violation of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act.

The FTC claims the company failed to notify consumers of the potential dangers of the products they were buying and failed to provide a complete list of ingredients.

The company is currently being investigated for alleged violations of the False Claims Act, which prohibits deceptive or misleading representations.

The FDA is also looking into allegations of fraudulent labeling.

The FDA also says that there is an ongoing investigation into another batch of the chicken breast.

The Food and Food Safety Administration has been investigating BBQ Pizza for possible violations of federal food safety laws, which could lead to a fine of up to $1 million per violation.
