A barbeque sauce recipe for San Antonio.
You will need: -a can of barbecue sauce -a bottle of barbecue barbecue sauce (I use Tippler’s BBQ sauce from Costco) -1/4 cup onion powder -1 teaspoon garlic powder -a little oil (optional) -salt and pepper -a squeeze of fresh lemon juice -a few pinches of peppermint oil -a couple of cloves of garlic, crushed -a bit of onion (optional), toasted -garlic salt and pepper Instructions In a saucepan over medium heat, add the onion powder and garlic powder.
Cook for about 5 minutes, until the onion is softened and the garlic is softened.
Stir in the oil, and let the oil dissolve.
Add the crushed garlic, and cook for about a minute, until fragrant.
Add salt and/or pepper to taste, and stir to combine.
Stir the sauce until it thickens, about 30 seconds.
Pour into a sauce pan, and cover with a lid.
Allow to cook for 5 minutes.
Remove the lid, and add the crushed tomatoes.
Pour over the sauce, and toss well to coat. Serve hot.
